AMERICA'S JOBLESS ECONOMIC "RECOVERY"
by Tom Flocco
PHILADELPHIA -- October 23, 2003 (TomFlocco.com) -- U.S. Corporations are "outsourcing " or eliminating good-paying American blue-collar and professional jobs by exporting them to workers in other countries--or importing foreignors directly into the United States via congressionally-sponsored, compliant immigration enforcement and rule machinations. Sort of a legislative payback to national, state or local corporate benefactors--for past and/or future munificent campaign tribute. And we wonder why all the plants and office buildings are closing.
Quietly and under the radar screen, U.S. Senators and Congressmen--supposedly elected to look out for the job interests of their American constituent families--are acting more like the representatives of foreign countries and U.S. corporations. This, while top executives reap outrageous personal compensation, benefits and stock options--the new-found money emanating from exportation of American jobs to cheap-labor countries, or suspect importation of foreign workers to lay-off even more Americans. Moreover, Congress permits another scam: allowing corporations to "relocate" their "home offices" to offshore islands like Bermuda or the Caymans. Thus, American families are forced to dig even deeper into their wallets to cover the lost federal and state income tax and social security revenue needed to pay teachers, policemen, and build schools and roads--in Iraq! And we actually elect and pay legislators to help us lose our jobs.
Find out which members of Congress are betraying U.S. job interests for campaign contributions, and which corporations are selling out American jobs to avoid paying their share of federal, state, and social security taxes to rebuild Iraq. Who are the congressional and corporate culprits promoting America's jobless recovery? Send us their names.*** Should American citizens consider boycotting corporate products or voting a culprit out of office?

***Send us the name of a company in your area [Tom@TomFlocco.com] that exports American jobs overseas (USA-based "outsourcing" companies like India's OutSource Partners International, Tata Consultancy Services, Induslogic, and Wipro) or imports cheap-labor foreign professionals to take American jobs. Include a newspaper article or other document, and a short email about what happened, number of lost jobs, and how that loss affected your family, city or state. This is another one of those Crucial "Causes" of Our Time; and we know it will be a much-discussed topic on our upcoming website forum. Information and stories will be sent to CNN's Lou Dobbs who is currently reporting this issue. Should all U.S. citizens expect their national and state legislators to protect American job interests?

[Editor's note: Before you and your friends go to the polls to hold legislators accountable: Don't forget to carefully check the "security" of your state's convenient "touch-screen" electronic voting machines. There is documented evidence of "rigged elections" linked to last-minute "certification" and "added software patches" and "remote computer modems" that may be one of the reasons why 97% of Congress is re-elected every two years--no matter what the voter turnout happens to be. A U.S. Senator has already been permitted to be an owner of the voting machine company that counted 86% of the votes in his two landslide elections. And look at the questionable "upsets" in the 2002 Georgia elections. So the stakes are high: their power and campaign contributions versus our jobs and benefits. Are we up to the task?]
